Terms of use.
Welcome to Hold the Bun. These terms are the agreement between you and Hold the Bun’s developer (“we” or “us”), the person named as the seller on the App Store and Google Play, for using the app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Hold the Bun.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older and able to agree to these terms. One account per person, and keep your sign-in to yourself.
Not medical advice
Hold the Bun helps you choose food. It isn’t a doctor, a dietitian or a medical service. Bun’s carb counts, scores and answers are estimates: they can be wrong, and menus, recipes and portions vary.
- Check with your doctor before starting a keto diet or changing how you eat, especially if you’re pregnant or nursing, have diabetes, kidney or heart disease, or a history of eating disorders, or take medicine.
- Never rely on Bun for food allergies or intolerances. Always ask the restaurant.
- If you think you have a medical emergency, call 911.
Your account
You’re responsible for what happens in your account. Give accurate information, and tell us if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account anytime in Settings.
Using the app fairly
Don’t misuse Hold the Bun. For example, don’t try to get around request limits, copy or scrape content, break or overload our systems, use someone else’s account, or use the app for anything illegal.
Information from others
Packaged-food nutrition comes from USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. We don’t control them and can’t promise they’re right.
Our app
Hold the Bun, Bun and the app’s design belong to us. We let you use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use, as long as you follow these terms.
Changes and ending
We may change, add or remove features, or stop offering Hold the Bun. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we change these terms in a big way, we’ll tell you in the app first; using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
No guarantees
We work hard on Hold the Bun, but we provide it “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We don’t promise it will always work, be free of errors, or that its estimates are accurate.
Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for what you choose to eat based on the app. Our total responsibility for any claim about Hold the Bun is limited to $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
You agree to cover our costs if a claim against us comes from something you posted or from you breaking these terms.
The law that applies
Indiana law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Indiana, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
App Store and Google Play
These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. We alone are responsible for the app and its support. If you downloaded Hold the Bun from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.
